350 INDY,  a Wildcat Just for Indiana

In August of 2007 the Natural Resources Commission of the State of Indiana publish a new rule in their Register.
LSA Document #06-272(F)

Rifles were added for firearms seasons, with some very specific limitations.
"A rifle must fire a cartridge that meets the following specifications:

bullet

Fire a bullet of three hundred fifty-seven thousandths (.357) of and inch diameter or larger;

bullet

Have a minimum case length of on and sixteen hundredths (1.16) inches; and

bullet

Have a maximum case length of one and six hundred twenty-five thousandths (1.625)inches."

Many hunters from Indiana approached us with a request for a cartridge that would fit these rules.
So, here it is, the 350 Indy uses standard .358 caliber bullets.  Ballistics are slightly better than with a
.358 Winchester.  We have two test guns up and running and will provide tested load data very soon.
These wildcats cartridges require neck turning because the parent brass runs pretty thick, be prepared.

We can also chamber this cartridge in 9.3mm (.366), .375, .411, .416, and .458
For comparison the 375 Indy would compare to the 9.5x57 and the
450 Indy would be virtually a ballistic twin for the .458 2" American.
